Our master planning work evolves from fundamental principles: creating buildings and places that respond to their special context and reflect the culture and qualities found in their surroundings. We approach master planning by seeking the best relationships created by the space between and around buildings: the streets, the plazas and open spaces that make up the perceived public areas. The way these spaces flow and provide opportunities for buildings to relate to each other is the essence of successful master planning.

We have designed master plans for commercial and mixed use developments as well as educational and cultural institutions. In each case we take into consideration the primary objectives of the development and analyze options and alternatives that best suit the desires and goals of our client and the greater urban fabric or neighborhood context.
