Below is a description of the qualities we typically look for and descriptions of some recent openings: Candidates shall have a strong desire to assume a large amount of responsibility for the creative, technical, and production aspects of our projects. Candidates must be willing to take the initiative to solve problems, the opportunity to acquire diverse sets of new skills, and the risk of making mistakes. Summer Intern Qualified applicants shall be enrolled in a challenging five-year program with the intention of practicing architecture upon graduation. Students who show a diverse college experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Quark Xpress is favorable. Additional beneficial skills include Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and HTML. Permanent Position Qualified applicants shall have 3-5 years experience in an architecture firm. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Expertise is required with AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 2004 and 3D Studio VIZ. Proficiency is required with Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Quark Xpress. Additional beneficial skills include Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and HTML. Sydness Architects is a team of professionals that has been able to successfully complete an unusually wide variety of projects. We have had a number of large-scale and international projects.
