This development is a mixed-use project that has formed the centerpiece of a revitalization for downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The Florencia is a 23-story luxury condominium tower with retail at ground level and parking in a podium.

The tower is located on the site of the former Soreno Hotel across Beach Drive from the St. Petersburg Yacht Club and Fine Arts Center, both of which are local landmarks designed in a Mediterranean style. The new buildings include elements which relate to these historical buildings and were built with stucco and clay tile roofs. The arched windows and arcades at street level also work to architecturally unify the project with the historical downtown area.
