Physique57 – SoHo

Physique 57 is a brand of dance and fitness studios with ballet school roots that successfully crosses over between these genres.  The design of the various locations is similar in several areas to give them an identifiable thread which is expressed in design elements of each studio.  Each facility contains two or three dance studios, a lounge and retail sales area and locker rooms.  Back of house areas include staff offices and service areas.  The plans are all very efficient and maximize the available space while maintaining a clean and uncluttered look.  Sydness Architects has designed several locations around New York City, and each contains design features that have become standard for the brand as it continues to grow.
