Swiss Re America

This design was an entry in an invited international design competition for Swiss Re America’s new 260,000 square foot U.S. headquarters building. The selected site for the building is the Kingswood Office Center located in Armonk, New York.

The building has been designed with a glass cylindrical entry lobby that contains a reception area and a stairway that connects the three main levels of the building. The concept is a radial plan with narrow spines that fan out to maximize views from within the building. The main radial cross axis of the building is penetrated by four glass- covered atria that provide natural light throughout the building.
